About us
The River Cruise Line is fast becoming a leading tour operator specialising in European river cruises. As a well respected company in the industry, we are the preferred operator for many publications who we work in partnership with by offering their readers high quality and value for money holidays.
We are passionate about what we do and from our office in Market Harborough our team of dedicated staff commit themselves to provide products which excel in the tourism industry. Our expanding portfolio of holidays continues to widen our market to an assortment of tastes and budgets, but we remain an independent tour operator, relatively small in comparison to the major publicly owned companies, adding a personal touch to the professional service we offer.
We firmly believe that our customer’s needs come first, a traditional value which has been the key to our rapid success and development and is still very much at the core of our day to day practice. For most people their holiday is the highlight of the year – a time to rest, relax and get away from it all, whether you’re travelling to another country or staying close to home. That’s why every element of every holiday we put together is done with the due care and attention needed to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Whilst we look forward to a continued success and a bright future, you can be sure that we will be working hard behind the scenes to ensure our reputation for high standards and great customer service remains absolute.
Staff Profile
Standing in our spotlight this month is Rachel Hold, who recently changed her surname to Barron after marrying her wonderful partner James on the 30th December 2011!
Rachel joined us in March 2010 and works in our Operations team. Her main role is booking tickets for events and entrances across our programme of tours, alongside other tasks.
Rachel is a very social person with a wide circle of friends. She has been to a number of festivals and concerts and also enjoys camping with James and his family. She is quite a ‘foodie’ and if she’s not cooking up a storm in the kitchen she likes eating out. Rachel also has a keen interest in professional make-up and even applied the make-up for her close friends who were attending her own wedding!
Recently the majority of her spare time has been taken up with planning and organising her wedding and, though it was a challenge, Rachel admits the stress and hard work was definitely worth it, so much so that she would do it all over again – with the same person of course! She is now focussing on her honeymoon at the end of January, when she will be jetting off to China for several nights before staying in Thailand – have a lovely time Rachel!
