The warming smell of baked gingerbread, the cheering taste of Glühwein, the heart-lifting sight of twinkling outdoor lights. When was Christmas shopping more enjoyable? We’ve viewed the striking scenery of the stunning Rhine gorge, called in at typical Rhineland tourist towns and wine centres, viewed the medieval town of Koblenz magically illuminated at night, and heard the fables and legends surrounding the famous Seven Mountains. Now we’re in fragrant Cologne indulging in the city’s fabulous Christmas markets. There’s such a wonderful range of quality items from which to choose; is there a weight restriction on what we can bring back on board Captain?
